Joe has worked in Learning Disability Services since the early 1970’s. This was predominantly working in NHS long-stay institutions and this is where he completed his RNMH. He is also a ‘Nurse Behavioural Therapist’ who worked in NHS services specific for those with Challenging Behaviour at the time using ‘Behaviour Modification’ techniques. Joe left the NHS in the early 1990’s when the long-stay hospitals begun to close and individuals were being re-settled into community based transition. He Managed two companies from 1991-2002 which opened in the region of 20 residential homes, all for people with a Learning Disability as well as those that presented with complex and severe challenging behaviour.
Joe took some time out between 2002-2005 then in 2005 opened Arundel Care Services followed by Arundel Domiciliary Care Services in 2008. Joe has overall responsibility for the management of the organisation.
